WE ARE IN CANADA! YIPPEE!!

We left Rhode Island early this morning, headed north! After about 8+ hours in the car, we arrived safely in Quebec City. We had a wonderfully tasty dinner with our favorite family in Canada. Now we are enjoying homemade chocolate chip cookies, made by Summer. Her mom has done a good job teaching her to make cookies. What a way to end a long day on the road.

OH! By the way, I forgot one of the most awesome events of the day. Since we were taking some Pampered Chef items to Dawn, along with our usual hard-to-get grocery items, we researched the border rules to make sure we would know what we should declare for tax and duty purposes. The web site I researched still left some unanswered questions, so Dawn called the border in Vermont where we intended to cross. She was told that it was absolutely not a problem. They were not really interested in small kitchen items. She had them repeat what they had told her just to be sure. We were still a little nervous since border crossings can be a little intimidating at times.

When we arrived at the border crossing, and the agent asked what we had on board, Tommy began telling her all about the Pampered Chef and the instructions Dawn had been given. She asked, "is her husband a pastor?". We told her yes and she said, I talked to your daughter yesterday. Everything is fine. You may go!!

What are the chances of that happening?? The chances are great when God is in control and prayer has preceded the crossing and the trip. We give Him praise for the easy crossing.

Pictures will follow tomorrow!
