Earlier this week we discovered that the America's Cup boat races were taking place in Newport this weekend. Since Newport is only about 30 minutes away, Bill said we would be able to see the boats up close if we went by boat, so that is what we did. After church we ate a quick lunch and started our "3 hour tour". Bill was very gentle at first, but as the afternoon went on, I think he felt a little bolder about my reaction to the ride. We started off pretty slow even though the seas were 2-3 feet. As the wind picked up a little, he said the ride would be better if he picked up speed. So I said "OK". By the time we came into sight of the dock, he had tripled his speed and Christy and I were soaked!! I'll let the pictures tell the story...
