HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA

We tried this recipe earlier in the week. Now it's back by popular demand. I had some peaches that needed to be used so I looked for an easy peach cobbler on the internet. This was very easy and extremely delicious. It doesn't look as pretty in my tube cake pan as it did in the 8 x 8 that I used earlier. But, you can be sure it still tastes yummy. We decided to go to the town fireworks and have dessert later. So it will have to wait a few hours.
Easy Peach Cobbler

The crowd was already gathering for the 9:00 fireworks when we arrived before 8:00. We got some choice seats.

Patriotic Billy. The family spent the day digging clams, so Billy is a little red.

I wanted to capture the view while it was still light. This was a pleasant, family-type gathering, and the crowd continued to grow right up to the time the fireworks started.

The crowd is still growing on and off-shore

This is a sight I always love!

Waiting for fireworks and watching the crowd.

More off-shore spectators...

....and from the other direction as well

I Love America...flag, bunting, ice cream truck. Doesn't get much better than this!!

Sunset behind us

Sarah, Christy, Bill and Billy returning from a walk around the grounds.

The fireworks were good, but this is far more beautiful. Our God, the Creator, knows how to paint the most beautiful of pictures. Thank you God for all your blessings, including our nation that we love.
