TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME

On our last evening in Quebec City, we used our complimentary tickets to watch the local ball team, Les Capitales. It was so much fun to experience baseball from a different perspective. It really wasn't that different though. The words were different, but the excitement and crowd response were very similar. Obviously, there were language differences,  as is seen below on the scoreboard.

...the ads are in French....

...this is universal...someone goofed!

and then the mascot, Capi!

I think my favorite part of the whole evening was watching some of my favorite people as they watched the game.

Some of the funnier parts of the game...because they were playing a team from Worster, MA, they sang our national anthem and then they sang the Canadian national anthem...ours in English, theirs in French (some were singing theirs in English!!) Then they sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" at 7th inning stretch...in English.

As a point of information, Danny is now one of the chaplains for the Capitales. There are 3 believers on the team and God is working in the hearts of others, as these men share their faith. Please pray for Danny as he ministers to the men, and for the family as God is opening  doors for building relationships on many different levels. It is obvious that God is at work in Quebec City. We rejoice in what He is doing.
