TOMMY'S NEW TOY

Today was the day for landscaping to begin in preparation for the Grand Opening. A very generous gift enabled Tommy to help in a way that he truly enjoys. His past construction experience equipped him to operate the machinery that made the shrub planting a bit easier. A generous supporter donated a backhoe/frontend loader/tractor combination which will be a super advantage now and later when the snows come. Never mind all that...let's peek at the guys and where I found them when I sneaked on campus to take some sweet iced tea to Tommy.

Brannon Miller, Matt Gedeon and Mr. Warner enjoying lunch around the new tables.

New tables and chairs for the fellowship hall have finally arrived

After lunch it was time to get busy planting shrubs around the campus...

Pastor Bill and Mr. Warner discuss the options for hiding the monstrous water pipe coming out from the $31,000 cistern. It sure seems like anything that cost that much could at least be pretty.

Not to worry, Mr. Warner has a plan to camouflage it as much as possible.

After a busy day on campus as well as at the "old" church, cleaning and packing up, we enjoyed dinner together at the Reynolds once again...yummy tacos, cheesecake, and zucchini bread for dessert. Now for a quiet evening watching the Olympics.
