After purchasing our motorhome in October, we finally hit the road in November. We went to Alabama to visit family, and Mississippi to represent and promote Gateway Christian College at their Free Will Baptist state meeting.
For the first time in about 5 years, we visited my sister and her family in Montgomery AL. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them.
Then we travelled over to Mississippi and stayed in Tupelo. We have wonderful friends, the Atwells, in Amory and the state meeting was in Booneville. We visited with Bro. Jerry (Mrs. Carol was ill and not able to visit with us) and went to church in Amory both Sundays we were there. We went to Booneville on Wednesday night for church before the state meeting started so we would be familiar with their location.
I stayed in the rv during the day and relaxed and sewed and read and when Tommy came home with the car, I had to check out the Hobby Lobby that was close by. I love that place.
The rv proved to be just as nice as we thought it would be...a home away from home.
Looking forward to our next trip.
