DAY OF REST, SORTA

Since Good News has their mid-week service on Thursday we decided to take the day off and get some things done "at home." We didn't want to go to work at church and need to come all the way back here for a shower (it's a good 40 minutes to the church), so we decided to use today for our day off and resume tomorrow.

We cleaned house, did laundry, rested and I made Chicken Teriyaki for dinner. It was my niece Debra's recipe and it turned out quite good. She made it for us several months ago and I got the recipe but had never tried it myself. Thank you Debra!

After dinner we got ready and went to Lifeway Christian Bookstore to check on some things for church. We enjoyed browsing around for awhile. While we were in the store a storm came up and brought wind and rain and lightening. By the time we got to church it stopped raining long enough for me to get in, but some came in later and they were dripping wet. The rain was a blessing and soon passed.

After church we fellowshipped briefly with Pastor Allen and Tim and Jessica. Then we headed home and you'll never believe what happened. The GPS took us another "fastest" way. Who knew there could be so many fastest ways? I am still amazed.

Well, as you can see, our day was pretty dull and uneventful, but we did get a few pictures at church tonight and we hope it will remind you to pray for us and the people of this great church.
