RESTING AT "HOME"

Today was the scheduled day for us to go to Hershey Park. Guess what? After a very busy week, we decided to stay at home and rest. We have "Art Camp" at church next week, Monday through Friday and we will be helping. In order to be rested for the Lord's Day, we felt sure these old folks should probably stay at home.

I'll take this opportunity to show you around the area where we are staying. Dawn has been curious about our out-of-the-way destination, so I took pictures on the way out yesterday. I'm not sure they truly capture the beauty and "isolation" from civilization but I tried. What is so funny is that we feel like we are miles away from everything, but the people in the church who are familiar with "Dover, PA" think that is so funny. What they didn't realize is that once you get to Dover, you are not yet at the campground. It is still a good 10-12 minutes, which makes it seem really far out to us. Funny! Here are the pics...

This is just around the corner from our site, headed out to the main road

part of the lake close to us

part of the campground

heading toward the camp store

more of the campground

Camp Store and Office

first turn out of the campground

another turn

first little town

this building has been so funny to us. who would build so close to the road. and someone took a corner of it off..funny! At this point, we are still just a few minutes from the campground. The guy in front of us was poking along and I think I got distracted from taking pictures.
