OUR FIRST DAY BACK TO WORK

Our day started bright and early. I am so excited about being back here and cannot wait to see all that God has in store for us. If you read the post from April 22, you will remember that my heart and mind had taken a different turn in my focus and thinking about my purpose for being here. I have done some extra thinking, reading and praying and believe God wants me to play a different role while I am here.

I went inside (we have our motor home parked in the driveway at the Reynolds' house), took care of some morning chores, took opportunity to do some one-on-one teaching about  practical bathroom cleaning, and then listened to piano, guitar and violin practice.

One of the dear ladies from the church came to help around the house while her husband helped with the construction at the church. Tabetha, mother of six, has become a very dear friend and we enjoyed working together and fellowshipping throughout the day.

Mid-morning I called the children in to the kitchen to review their daily Bible lesson. Billy and Sarah Reynolds came in and we began sharing what Sarah had read in Proverbs 13 and what Billy had read in Proverbs 9. We talked about obedience and right friendships. I love talking to young people about what they are learning from God's Word! After we talked about their reading, I turned their attention to a lesson I had planned for them about whether or not God is real. Before long, we were joined by Bethany, Candice and Philip (Tabetha's children). They were totally interested in listening to how we know through Creation that God is real! What a privilege to spend time with precious children (aged 4 through 12), sharing the Word of God.

Tabetha and I prepared dinner for  23 today, we did laundry and folded clothes and some other household chores, but the most important of all took place about mid-morning around the kitchen table at the Reynolds' house. Thank you Lord for letting me be there!

About 5 miles away some other important work was going on...ceramic tile in place, carpet laid, doors being hung...
Anna Gedeon trying her hand at laying stone. Her brother Philip is also on the scaffolding.

Tammy Miller and Christy Reynolds working on the stone wall.

The gap is getting smaller!!

This is the first time back in the building for me. All I can say is "WOW".

Hannah Reynolds is learning to lay ceramic tile. Her dad believes in getting everyone involved.

This is the auditorium from the front.

Luke Gedeon is helping with the tile in the foyer.
Matt, Philip, Anna and Bob enjoy the lunch delivered by Tabetha

The workers are already enjoying the new social hall.

Tommy and Gary Wilson enjoy chatting

This is the building as viewed from the main road that runs beside the church. There is another main road that runs in front of the church. Great  exposure...and almost done!!

This is us after working hard all day and then enjoying a good meal with wonderful friends.
